I am a computational astrophysicist working on hydrodynamic simulations of protoplanetary/circumstellar/accretion disks.

My research focuses on the development of numerical methods for the full Navier-Stokes equations for problems in self-gravitating hydrodynamics. In collaboration with Volker Springel, we are currently working on extending the capabilities of the Lagragian/Eulerian cosmological code AREPO to study problems in planet formation such as planet migration, tidal interactions between binary circumstellar disks and giant planet accretion.

I completed my PhD in Astrophysics in 2013 at Harvard University, where I wrote a thesis titled "Modeling and Simulation of Circumstellar Disks with the Next Generation of Hydrodynamic Solvers" under the supervision of Lars Hernquist. At Harvard, I also worked on submillimeter interferometry with the SMA, specifically measuring the polarization of the Galactic Center source SgrA*.
