I’ve been using Terragen since December but have just now gotten around to writing up what I’ve done with it.
This software can make some really spectacular art but has had a steep learning curve for me. Lots of nobs to fiddle with and functions to understand. My main goal for using this program is for making surface, aerial, and orbital exoplanet concept art for my field of research.
It allows for the procedural generation of realistic terrain, clouds, and atmospheres at all scales. This allows for some truly real looking images if you can put the time in to craft the world and render it in enough detail.
My first renders were fairly cartoonish…
But I eventually got the hang of it… I’ll be posting more when I can!
