Abstract: The most physically complete signal models generally involve detailed models and slow calculations, particularly when higher harmonics and/or spin are included. Due to their high computational cost, these approximations are rarely applied to parameter estimation. By contrast, a recently implement parameter estimation algorithm (Pankow et al: 1502.04370) is not limited by the waveform generation cost (or length). In this talk we demonstrate efficient high-mass parameter estimation with existing high-cost signal models and with numerical relativity waveforms, as signals and templates.
