Giant Planets in the Solar System and Beyond

3Tuesday, Jul. 3
9am-4pm
SSB 301

In this one day workshop for undergraduates, we will explore what is known about giant planets both in the Solar System and elsewhere. Overviews will be presented of the on-going Cassini and Juno missions and a possible future exploration of  lakes on Titan. We will also discuss techniques to discover extrasolar planets and the current census of them. Activities will make use of Cassini images of Saturn's rings and transit data from Kepler. Here is the program.

Unfortunately, due to space limitations this summer, this workshop is open only to undergraduate students.
