The goal of TAO project is to operate a 6.5-m optical-infrared telescope at Cerro Chajnantor in Chile (elevation 5,640m), which is a few hundred meters away from the CCAT site. A pathfinder telescope, the miniTAO 1.0-
m telescope, has been operated since 2009, and we confirmed that new atmospheric windows are open in infrared wavelengths. Current status of TAO project including construction of the 6.5-m telescope as well as
early results by miniTAO will be presented.
