The New York Space Grant Consortium supports many general public activities including:

+ Astronomy observing nights at Columbia University

+ Family Astro Nights at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City

+ The Sagan Planet Walk (a scale model of the solar system) in Ithaca

+ Family science nights in upstate NY communities

and other science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) outeach activities run by our affiliates. An informed public will be more equipped to understand and provide the necessary resources for a science and technology literate society.
